I traveled throughout Italy entirely by train, except for the fact that I landed in Trapani, Sicily, and took the ferry from Messina to Villa San Giovanni.
The rest of the trip was by train.
So, I started in Sicily, crossed to the mainland, and began my journey in Messina.
From Messina, I went to Naples.
From Naples, I went to Rome.
Of course, I visited the Vatican.
From Rome, I went to Florence.
From Florence, I went to Bologna.
Only at this point did I rent a car to visit three cities renowned for their prestigious car brands:
Maranello, Modena, and Sant'Agata.
There, I visited the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena, and the Lamborghini Museum in Sant'Agata.
From Bologna, I went to Milan.
And finally, from Milan, I went to Turin.
The train is an excellent way to visit Italy.
It's quite economical, you see a lot of rural scenery, and it's fast.
